Spotlight Photos - Nurses, Doctors, Hospitals and Member Voice May 20

This theme was near and dear to a few of our members. Even though we did not have many that participated this week, the ones that did were very touching. It gave me a good feeling to pay tribute to so many that get very little recognition for what they do and the sacrifices they have made.

I was totally unprepared for this theme. But after I browsed through our member's posts, so many things popped into my head that I could have talked about and shown. Duh!! And that my friends is why I love our FMTSO's. It opens your eyes to new ideas and different ways of thinking and seeing the world.

Our theme for May 20 is Flowers in your town. I feel this will be a cheery and very colorful theme.

"Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made, and forgot to put a soul into."  ~Henry Beecher, Life Thoughts, 1858

"Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world."  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1844

"Flowers have an expression of countenance as much as men or animals.  Some seem to smile; some have a sad expression; some are pensive and diffident; others again are plain, honest and upright, like the broad-faced sunflower and the hollyhock."  ~Henry Ward Beecher, Star Papers: A Discourse of Flowers

I like what Henry Ward Beecher had to say about flowers. Think about it, do they have expressions? Do they emit a feeling? Challenge for our shooters for this theme .....
show us a flower expression
show us a flower thought
show us a flower feeling
show us a flower attitude
show us a flower mood
show us a flower emotion

and as always HAPPY SHOOTING!!

what thought or feeling or expression is this flower emitting?

  2. i don't think we can find a flower that will top your tulip, it is stunning. i felt the same way, had nothing to use and no ideas on where to go on nursing, after i saw some of the ones posted, i thought well duh... i could have done that.

  3. the low participation may have been more about 1) Blogger having issues, 2) massive internet connection issues this weekend, not about the topic. now that I have connection I'll visit and comment for those who did participate....
